what are the best practice methods to learning piano?

I’ve been playing piano on and off now for about a year and I now I have more time to learn, so I want to dive right in. I’m hoping to be able to play from sheet music in the future, compose my own songs and learn songs by ear. Can someone give me some guide lines of where I should focus my attention for rapid learning. Thanks
